Direct Care Caregiver, 3rd shift
This position is responsible for direct care in a group home for disabled adults and for maintaining the safety, quality, and efficiency standards for the individuals living in the home.
Main responsibilities
- Maintaining and assisting clients with personal cares and daily living
- Meal preparation
- Behavioral management
- Medication administration
- Housekeeping, transportation, and other care as needed
Schedule and location
Must be able to work 3rd shift, 11pm to 7am, 24 to 32 hours per week, including every other weekend and holidays as assigned. Overtime may be required as needed. All openings are located in Winnebago County and Appleton, but at times successful candidates may be asked to work at another location as needed.
The position is very active and requires walking, standing, bending, and kneeling daily. You must be able to frequently lift objects and clients weighing over 50 pounds, and follow all safety programs.
Requirements
- Experience: three months of work history with one employer in the past 12 months. One year of experience in a related field is preferred.
- Education: high school diploma preferred.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must pass criminal record, driving record, and pre-employment health screenings (physical health exam, TB test, and drug test by a physician designated by the employer), and any other applicable screenings.
